Waiting at Airports

Airport Zombies

One thing that always seems to get me frustrated is how strange people get at Airports and on planes. Wait for customs, wait for security, wait to get called on to board the plane, wait in the walkway, wait to sit down, wait to see who is beside you..
Then your on.... step two. The scared flyers getting paranoid, the people fighting about seats, and where they have been assigned. The ladies who think that somehow someone is going to steal their handbags, and have to be told a million times to unwrap the straps from around their ankles. the kids who keep screaming, with parents who just sit and look stunned and do nothing about it. The business men who feel it necessary to speak louder than anyone about their days. I do not envy the flight attendants when tv’s dont work, diapers need to be “taken” or the blankets are all gone....

You arrive at the desitination.... and again madness, peoples cell phones come out, loud talkers, and everyone races to stand up and again wait... for the door to open. People now get stressed, sweaty and angry because they are all pushing to get out a door that still is not open. Door opens and... rush, everyone is in a hurry to run to the bag claim.. why?? To wait yet again... but still all the morons stand, shins on the track, waiting for their bags...because if you get there forst, naturally your bag will come off first right? These are the same people that seem to feel by standing against the baggage belt, they should not have to move to allow anyone else in to get theirs... mad as they “claimed” this space somehow and why is your bag coming off first....?

People forget their minds at airports. Next time you fly... wait in your seat at the airport till they call last call.. no line ups, no waits...
Sit patiently untill everyone has unloaded the plane.. no sweaty panters, no pushing, simply amazing. Get to the baggage cart, and see what people do when you ask... could you please take a giant step back so I can get my bag sir?

Anyway, I waited till last call to get on my Calgary-Vancouver flight... The sun was setting.. It was nice.

We shot hotel rooms, pubs, motor coaches (bus), the coulmbia Icefields, and the Sulpher Mtn. Gondola, some fishing, boat tours, and more in Banff. I didn’t sleep much.....
So glad I picked up a Elinchrome set this year....

Biggest Jump Alberta has seen...

Mike Sudermann is a good snowboarder

. Do you think many people could hold this much style going over a jump bigger than a house?
This past spring I built a massive jump at Norquay Alberta for a RedBull shoot.. - luckily I also was the photog.
It was 110’ to make the top of the transition ( not die ). The crew was small, and alot of crazy stuff went down. Check out twsnow.com for a vid preview... 20080412_mike_sudermann_norquay_alberta8287
